THE FUTURE IS BASED ON OUTSOURCING Investicorp, Inc./David Rose International, Inc. continue to lead the industry and provide the model for everyone else to copy. More than sixteen years ago, we recognized that Retail Specialty Stores, Automobile Dealers and the Apparel Industry were unable to effectively cope with the complexities of new technology, coupled with the demands for increased staffing levels necessary to effectively control inventories. Typically, these clients would rather invest their capital in areas more directly related to increasing their income than in infrastructure and other non income producing expenses. INVESTICORP'/DRI'S MODEL OUTSOURCING PLAN As indicated in our section on our Consulting Division, Investicorp's MODEL OUTSOURCING PLAN begins with the top position, the Security/Safety Director. Naturally, to compete with nationwide conglomerates, our core clients (Retail Specialty Stores, Automobile Dealers, Trucking/Distribution and the Apparel Industry) would have to spend far greater percentages of resources to attract and retain top quality personnel. This is not the case for clients participating in the INVESTICORP/DRI MODEL OUTSOURCING PLAN. Our clients have proven that our Investicorp/DRI MODEL OUTSOURCING PLAN is a winner! The rest of the World has proven it too. The common thread being discussed in all areas of business today is leading towards OUTSOURCING as many previously proprietary functions as possible. Investicorp/DRI has been doing that very thing since 1982. Some of the positions currently being outsourced, in addition to the Security/Safety Director, are: RETAIL: Store Detectives, Uniformed Security Guards, Regional Security Managers, Store Operations Managers, Warehouse/Stock, Training and other non-selling positions. Naturally, clients should never forget to have a viable Undercover Program, as part of their overall Loss Prevention Plan. APPAREL INDUSTRY: Inventory Control, Uniformed Security Guards, On Sight Safety Managers, Training, Order Pickers, Order Packers, Receiving, Shipping and other non-revenue producing positions. AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY: Uniformed Security Guards, F&I Sales, Special Finance Managers, Service Advisors, Insurance Brokers, Specialty Detailers and Installers, Shoppers, Risk Managers and other non-revenue producing positions. MAJOR RETAILERS HAVE JOINED THE OUTSOURCING FRENZY Seeing the advantages that Specialty Stores were enjoying by their participation in the Investicorp MODEL OUTSOURCING PLAN, many of our National Retail clients have asked why we did not offer them the same advantages as their smaller counterparts. Needless to say, saving money on insurance, payroll taxes, benefits and fringes enticed the "Big Guys" as well. In addition to Undercover Investigators and Shoppers, which everyone has always outsourced, the most commonly outsourced retail security position has been that of STORE DETECTIVES. While our Undercover Program has been widely acclaimed as having one of the best training programs available, our Store Detectives are slightly different. Simply, we will often train a deserving candidate for the position of Undercover Investigator, to take advantage of their other experiences which may be required for certain "Cover" positions. Store Detectives are different. We only hire experienced Store Detectives, who have been trained in the apprehension and detection of Shoplifters, by a recognized retailer. We normally hire Store Detectives who possess at least two years of actual experience. We then put these trained and experienced Store Detectives through an Investicorp 24 Hour, Pre-Assignment Store Detective Training Program. We make sure that our Store Detectives fully understand the local laws (Civil and Criminal) in their States of employment, as well as our company policies with regard to insurance, physical contact, entrapment and false arrest. Our training program also includes examples and techniques of how to detect internal theft. While we fully train our personnel in proper interaction with Law Enforcement and Court Appearances, we go that extra step. That is, prior to the Store Detective’s first actual Court Appearance, we have the specific case reviewed by our Corporate Counsel and the Detective interviewed by an Attorney. Our Supervisors and Store Detectives Review the client guidelines including; apprehension policies, job description, duties and responsibilities. This insures that our personnel will blend with the clients proprietary personnel. All Store Detectives working in New York State are Registered Security Guards, in compliance with the Security Guard Act. Investicorp, Inc. is an authorized Security Guard Employer and in 100% compliance with the Security Guard Act of 1992. Our personnel must pass a written exam covering all aspects of their individual position or specialty. |
